About the Role
Opensofttrends is looking for passionate and experienced Part-Time Trainers who can teach AWS Data Engineering / GCP Data Engineering to college students and early-career professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity for cloud/data engineering professionals who want to teach during their free time while earning a competitive compensation per batch after completing the given syllabus.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 1.5 hour to 2 hours per session live online training for 50 hours per batch
- Deliver engaging, hands-on training in AWS or GCP Data Engineering
- Teach 2 to 4 batches per day (based on your availability)
- Guide students through labs, projects, assignments, and real-world scenarios
- Provide mentorship and clear explanations of complex cloud / data engineering concepts
- Assist learners with certification-related queries (AWS/GCP)
- Provide training material in soft copy format
- Guide the students and make the students pass the AWS / GCP certification
Required Skills & Experience
For AWS Data Engineering Trainer:
Hands-on experience with:
- AWS S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, IAM
- Hadoop, Hive, Spark (PySpark)
- Kafka, Airflow, NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra)
- Lakehouse tools (Iceberg/Hudi) added advantage
For GCP Data Engineering Trainer:
Hands-on experience with:
- BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub
- Cloud Storage, IAM
- Airflow / Dataform / Spark
- ML/AI knowledge is a plus
General Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years industry experience in data engineering
- Previous training/teaching experience preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, clear language
Work Schedule
- Flexible part-time work
- Trainers may teach 24 batches per day, depending on availability
- Each batch = 1.5 hours to 2 ours per session
- Evening and weekend slots available for working professionals
